Composed in 2003 this is a piece written for the very first and hugely successful Vox Novus 60x60 performance which featured sixty pieces each being sixty seconds long. It has been featured in acousmatic concerts around the world and was one of my very first forays into pure sound design without a performer in tandem.

The piece uses various voices recorded from the Russian Space Program communications and is processed through Reaktor with beat frequency wave forms originally designed by Dave Smith as well as with some grain delays and EH ring modulation. I sent the two pair outboard into a hi-fi VCR for analog warmth and then imported it back into my Logic for final production.
